I was planning on putting pictures up from closing night party in San Juan.
But, US Air "lost" my camera during my flight. It somehow dissappeared from my closed, checked luggage during travel.
And of course, since my camera is 3 years old, I have no idea where the receipt is for it, so the airline won't help me.
I do like having an excuse to get a new camera, but I hate losing my pictures.
Oh well. I'm in New York (Long Island) for the next two weeks.

Kurt Vonnegut, one of the greatest writers of modern times, a survivor of the Dresden bombings, and a superb satirist, died at the age of 84. He was a favorite writer of mine, one of the few authors that I can read their works over and over.
Sad that we lose such a talented man, and the top news story in the country is Don Imus.
Here's a personal favorite of mine. From a speech Vonnegut gave.
"I am, incidentally, Honorary President of the American Humanist Association, having succeeded the late, great science fiction writer Isaac Asimov in that totally functionless capacity. We had a memorial service for Isaac a few years back, and I spoke and said at one point, "Isaac is up in heaven now." It was the funniest thing I could have said to an audience of humanists. I rolled them in the aisles. It was several minutes before order could be restored. And if I should ever die, God forbid, I hope you will say, "Kurt is up in heaven now." That's my favorite joke."
ANd a poem, taken from his last book, "A Man Without A Country"
a poem written by Mr. Vonnegut called “Requiem,” which has these closing lines:
When the last living thing
has died on account of us,
how poetical it would be
if Earth could say,
in a voice floating up
perhaps
from the floor
of the Grand Canyon,
“It is done.”
People did not like it here.
That is all for now. I think I'll fo reread "Cat's Cradle".

Just got finished at the doctor's office. Turns out the cyst on my ovary is almost 5cm (so the cyst is actually bigger than the ovary). So they are going to start messing with my hormones in an attempt to shrink it, if that doesn't work, surgery is the next option.
It was wierd. I have now seen my ovaries on tv. Kinda cool if it weren't for the thought of how the camera gets there. EEEEWWWWW.
Glad that's over.
Anyway, I do have pics to post, but no chance until next week. I go to Puerto Rico on Saturday. I will be there for three weeks. Hopefully, there will be internet access.
After that, I finally get to see my dogs again.
I miss my dogs.
I think I have seen more movies this week than any week in my life. It is the Florida Film Festival. Tonight, we are going to go see the Animated Shorts. Tomorrow, we are planning on three different films (one in French).
bye.

Tried to go to the hospital this morning. Waited so long I gave up and left. Too expensive anyway since my insurance doesnt work in Canada.
Just wanted to let everyone knowI fly home tomorrow, and since my mother hasn't joined the 21stcentury yet, I will not have internet access (or call waiting, or a dryer, and possibly not even a cell phone signal). SO if anyone needs to contact me, call my cell and leave a message, I will get back to you as soon as I can.
