My birthday and Christmas are both very far away...but I already know what I want. A breadmaker. Yes, being at home has domesticated me that much.

Anyway, I am off to make dinner. Cajun chicken with rice.

Working tomorrow. Union gig at 8am. Don't they know stagehands aren't awake at 8am? Oh well, work is slow, so I'll take what I can get, even if it does mean having to be up way too early in the AM.

Hello all! I am home sick from work today, stupid hubby gave me his cold. But, this gives me the opportunity to upload some pics. THese are from Leu Gardens last week when hubby's mom visited. We also went to Buca di Beppo, saw a Jerry Springer-style cat fight at Tijuana Flats, and went to the Downtown Farmer's Market at Lake Eola (but alas, no pics from any of that).

I am often asked if I miss tour. And I do, at times. I miss the travel. I've seen and done so many amazing things that I probably never would have done if it weren't for tour (hangliding, surfing lessons, climbing pyramids, and seeing just about every state in the US). I also miss (some of) the people. I have great friends from all over the world thanks to tour.

But do I regret leaving? Hell no. I love coming home to my condo. I love taking my dogs to the dog park. Orlando is certainly not my favorite place, but it has its good points. The local music scene, the Enzian, great food, great festivals. I love being able to spend holidays with my family, and not stuck in a hotel somewhere. I love spending my day off as an actual day off, and not stuck traveling to the next city that I will be too busy to really see.

But you know what I miss the most about tour? Clean towels and sheets. You really don't know how much you miss hotel life until you have to do your own laundry.

I've got pics to post, but right now I'm on my ibook, and the pics are on Nate's computer, so I'll get to them tomorrow. Thats all for now.
