We went to Sea World today. Took lots of pics.

Check out the next few posts for more pics of more stuff. I had misplaced my camera cable in our move, so I posted lots of pics today since I found it.

Last weekend was the Boston terrier group meetup at the dog park. OMG there were so many cute dogs. Two different batches of puppies (brown and black). I wanted to bring them all home with me!

Caesar loves the lovesac.

This is pretty much what my home looks like every night.

We got shelves at Ikea. Hubby put them up for my rubber ducks. There are more than just this one pictured, but our guest bath is very narrow and its hard to take a pic in there.

Nate cut his hair. There was a lot of it. I miss it. But, it is better for work to have it short, than to have the Pomp.
Good thing about leaving tour, getting to move back into the condo! Here are some pics.

My rubber duck collection.

Living room. Those end tables we found at a used furniture store. They will go great in the bar.

Tiki bar is now in the loft. We need to paint, and are planning on putting in some hardwood flooring.

We finally got to put our wedding china in the china cabinet!!

You know what really makes me mad? Anyone referring to Sarah Palin as a feminist. I mean really. Requiring women to pay for their own rape kits is monstrous. And being against abortion even if the woman in question is a minor and a rape victim? Doesn't sound like a feminist to me.

It is the end of an era.

After 85 years Yankee Stadium is being demolished. I have heard all the arguaments to why the stadium (where Babe Ruth hit the first home run!) is closing, but it still makes me sad. This is where I used to go to games with my grandparents. We'd go into the city early, have lunch at the stadium and go to Memorial park before the game. Now, I'm not a huge sports fan, but I have many fond memories of watching the game, my feet hovering over piles of peanut shells my grandfather would leave under us. I used to have a collection of those little plastic baseball caps the ice cream came in. Tiffany and I would try to get on the jumbotron or catch a ball. We would try to get autographs before the game as the players warmed up. I haven't been to a game in at least five years, and I wish I could have made it this season. Even though the Yankees aren't doing that well this year, it would have been nice to go to one last game. I'm sure the new stadium will be great, but its just not the same leaving "the house that Ruth built".

Five random facts for today:

1. I made taco meatloaf for dinner, it was delicious.
2. My new job has me always smelling like a combination of bananas and bleach.
3. I need to dye my hair, but I am so indecisive I can't decide what color.
4. My husband is awesome and bought me art supplies so I can paint.
5. I am such a nerd that I am going to have to set up a vcr just so I can watch the Heroes 3hour premiere (One week from today!) since I work monday nights.

Here is the recipe for Taco Meatloaf:
In a large bowl, combine:
1 egg
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup salsa
3 tbs. taco seasoning
1 cup crushed tortilla chips
1/2 cup shredded cheese (I use the Kraft mexican blend)

Mix in 2 pounds ground beef.

Pat into bottom of slow cooker. Cook on low for 8 hours. If it starts to dry out (which happened tonight) add a little beef broth.

Can be served with cheese, olives, salsa, etc. toppings.

I love pug-a-day

Everybody do a happy dance!

Hubby got a new job. It is awesome. Better company, better pay, better everything.

Which means, maybe in the spring, I will be able to go back to school for my masters. Or maybe even at some point down the road, hubby and I can add to the family (dog or kid? who knows).

Woohoo!

Pug day at the dog park! The dogs both had a great time. Nani swam, Caesar made some new friends. There were alot more pugs beside the ones in the picture, but it is hard to corral fifty small dogs.

Thats all for now. No news. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Updated my amazon.com wishlist. I realized that I had bought a few books and ducks that I needed to remove from it. I now have 3 lists:

regular one

tiki one

rubber duck list

SO, it occurred to me that I turn 30 in exactly 3 months from today. Wow. Not sure how I feel about that. I mean, 30 seems old. But I still FEEL young, so I guess it doesn't matter.

Maybe its not appropriate for a 30 year old to have a collection of more than 50 rubber ducks and to be reading comic books. But then, hubby is 37 and he has a bunch of remote control cars. THat is why we are perfect for each other.

And I am somewhat more grown-up than I used to be. Some of the new things on my wishlist are for the condo.

Off to bed. Caesar & Nani keep yawning.

Hello. Not much going on here. I saw my family this weekend, for a funeral. Then this morning we found out there was a death in hubby's family too. Neither was a suprise, but sad nontheless. Not my preference for the way to spend Labor Day weekend.

On a more cheerful note, I start my new job this week. I am looking foward to having a normal job where I don't have to travel or work wierd hours.

Hubby just made dinner. Pork chops with mint jelly and bamboo rice. Yummy. It is strange how domestic we have both become since coming home. We never eat fast food anymore, we have a homecooked meal every night. And I cook more than he does now. Usually in the crockpot.

I love the crockpot. Still want to get a bread maker. And maybe a panini grill.

Anyway, we have become boring. But, we kinda like it that way. Most nights we just make dinner and watch netflix. Currently we are working on Heroes (season 2) and after that will be Pushing Daisies (season 1).

I guess thats all for now.
