I want a vespa with a sidecar.

There is even one on ebay. Too bad I can't afford it, and even if I could, it's in Jacarta. Damn. Oh well. Too bad.

But Caesar would look really good in the side car with some black goggles and a white scarf.

Subject: Congress is selling out the Internet

Hi,

Do you buy books online, use Google, or download to an Ipod? These activities will be hurt if Congress passes a radical law that gives giant corporations more control over the Internet.

Internet providers like AT&T and Verizon are lobbying Congress hard to gut Network Neutrality, the Internet's First Amendment. Net Neutrality prevents AT&T from choosing which websites open most easily for you based on which site pays AT&T more. Amazon.com doesn't have to outbid Barnes & Noble for the right to work more properly on your computer.

Politicians don't think we are paying attention to this issue. Many of them take campaign checks from big telecom companies and are on the verge of selling out to people like AT&T's CEO, who openly says, "The internet can't be free."

The free and open Internet is under seige--can you sign this petition letting your member of Congress know you support preserving Network Neutrality? Click here:

A list of all the ways you might be affected by Net Neutrality is located on the bottom of this link: http://civic.moveon.org/alerts/savetheinternet.html

Thanks!

Three weeks until the wedding. Am I nervous? ABout getting married? No. Not at all. Am I nervous that I have been planning this one day for the past year? Yes. I just keep thinking of all the things that could go wrong. What if the trolley gets a flat tire? WHat if it rains? What if somneone has a party on the beach before our wedding and it looks messy? What if, even though they've been divorced for 25 years, my parents can't get along for one day? What if the flowers/cake/etc look bad? (I did arrange eveerything online or over the phone, since I haven't spoken to any of the vendors in person, I worry about this stuff) What if my dress doesn't fit? What if Nate or I get sick/sunburnt/etc.?

We do have a backup plan in case of rain. But I would much rather get married on the beach.

Okay, okay, time to not stress anymore.

I am about to leave for work. Ten hour shift stuck in the tech booth. At least I was smart enough to go buy a crossword puzzle book so I will be able to stay awake.

Oh, we're done painting the living room. Next day off nate has, we are going to have the floors steam cleaned. After that, we can put the condo on the market.

Anyone out there want to buy a 2/2 condo near Universal?

Off to work. have a good weekend everyone.

So, I don't usually watch the local news. But since I don't have cable nothing else was on. One of the stories on the news was about a local man who got arrested for impersonating a doctor. Seems this old guy had gone door to door claiming to be a doctor and performing free breast exams on women. The scary thing is, some women actually believed him! They let him inside their homes, and they let him grope them. Why would anyone believe this? C'mon, that's just stupid.

You know what sucks?

Not having medical insurance and being sick.

My symptoms: 102F Fever, So congested I feel like my head will explode, my throat hurts so bad it feels like someone scraped a fork against it, earache, etc.

Hopefully its just a really bad cold. Otherwise I will have to dip into our "Key west" money to go to the doctor for antibiotics.

Yuck.

So, I think I know what I want my next tattoo to be. I want to get a sleeve with art similar to Shag's work. I need to send him an email, see if I can get permission to recreate his art on my sleeve. I would never want to copy an artists work without permission, but most artists are pretty cool about tattoos. ANd I've been wanting to get a tiki tattoo (Nat oes too, but he wants to get a pinstriped one). Shag does great tiki art.

Anyway, go check out his stuff here

If anyone still doesn't know what to get Nate & I for our wedding, Shag art is perfect for our tiki bar (hint, hint, hint)

One month from today is the wedding.

Just about all the plans are taken care of. Still a few things to do.

Anyway, busy, busy, busy.

Also, we're at peak at work, so I don't have much free time right now.

I can't wait to have a week in Key West.

See you there.

April Fool's Day is the one year anniversary of our adopting Caesar. So, it is kind of like his birthday. We took him to Bark Avenue Bakery for a Birthday treat.

We also took him to the dog park. He's thrilled by anything that involves a ride in the truck.

Nani likes to ride in the car too. She loves to use me as a jungle gym in the car.

Nani went for a swim. Caesar is terrified of water (he won't even walk through a puddle). But Nani loves a dip in the lake.

Who smells like wet dog?

Caesar has to inspect everything at the park, even the men's room.

Nani loves to lay on the porch and sun herself (she likes it so much we gave her the pillow).

We painted our living room (thanks for the help mom!) Caesar decided to lean against the wall while the paint was still wet.

This is where the dogs spend most of their time. Whenever Nate or I is on the computer, they sit under us.
